Magandang HealthServ na araw!
We are excited to announce a special event dedicated to raising awareness about cervical cancer. On Friday, May 24, 2024, at 9 AM, HealthServ Medical Affairs and the OB-Gyn Department will host a Free Lay Forum on Cervical Cancer Awareness. This event will take place on the 4th Floor of the HealthServ Medical Arts Building.

Event Details:

  • Date: May 24, 2024
  • Time: 9:00 AM
  • Location: 4th Floor, HealthServ Medical Arts Building
  • Guest Speaker: Dr. Mary Anne Desano, OBGYN-Sonology Specialist

Dr. Mary Anne Desano, a highly esteemed specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on sonology, will be our guest speaker. Dr. Desano will share her valuable insights on cervical cancer, its risks, prevention, and the importance of early detection. Cervical cancer is a significant health concern for women, and educating our community is crucial in the fight against this disease.
Why You Should Attend:
Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women. However, it is highly preventable through regular screening and early intervention. This forum aims to:

  • Educate attendees about the causes and risk factors of cervical cancer.
  • Provide information on preventive measures, including the HPV vaccine.
  • Discuss the importance of regular Pap smears and other screening methods.
  • Offer guidance on what steps to take if diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Can’t Attend in Person?

We understand that not everyone can make it to the event in person. That’s why we are also streaming the forum live on our HealthServ Facebook Page. This way, you can join us from the comfort of your home or office and still benefit from the valuable information shared by Dr. Desano.

How to Join the Live Stream:
To join the live stream, simply visit our HealthServ Facebook Page at the scheduled time. Make sure to follow our page and turn on notifications so you don’t miss any updates or reminders about the event.

Importance of Cervical Cancer Awareness:
Raising awareness about cervical cancer is vital for several reasons:

  • Early Detection: Early-stage cervical cancer often has no symptoms, making regular screenings essential for early detection and successful treatment.
  • Prevention: Understanding risk factors, such as HPV infection, and taking preventive measures can significantly reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer.
  • Education: Empowering women with knowledge about their health enables them to make informed decisions and seek timely medical care.

Join Us and Spread the Word:
We encourage everyone to attend this important event, whether in person or via our live stream. Please share this information with your family, friends, and colleagues. Let’s work together to spread awareness and promote women’s health in our community.
